In the Colorado Rockies it has been an unusually wet and cool summer. It almost seems as if we are skipping summer and going from spring right into fall. I should not complain. I am really not a hot weather person. But to see the foliage starting to turn seems just a bit too soon. Having said that, I love autumn in Colorado. The nights turn crisp with clear brilliant starry skies and the days are still warm and sunny. Here are a couple early autumn photographs for your pleasure.

These are amazing. AMAZING. I've never been a fan of fall time (I think it reminds me too much of the going back to school drudgery), so living the last decade in South Florida I haven't missed it much, if at all.
ReplyDeleteThese photos actually have me craving pumpkin pie and leaf jumping. They're inspiring!

Where in Colorado do you live? I live out in Greeley, and we've definitely had summer! Maybe not as hot as last year, but definitely enough sweltering 90-plus-degree days to make me whine about it. Yay, fall!
