We are back from Las Vegas and we had a great time! It has taken us both some time to switch gears and get our feet back under us. For anyone that has been to Vegas you know exactly what I mean. There is no place quite like it. Think about it. An entire city built just for entertainment. And they have it down.
We stayed at the Four Seasons, the top floors of Mandalay Bay, and loved their resort. The pool was quiet and relaxed with constant pampering, even cucumber slices for your eyes. We spent almost every afternoon there and it was heaven.

In the evening we would prowl the strip looking for the perfect martini and dining experience. By the third day we were ready for hamburgers in our room, which we did for our anniversary, and could not have been happier!

We also got to see Cirque du Soleil's "O", Cher, the lions at MGM Grand, the dolphins and tigers at the Mirage, and a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, which was our favorite thing.
Waiting for Cirque du Soleil's "O."
Papillon Helicopters is a really great outfit and our pilot, Mike, is a great guy. He took time to give us a great tour, pointing out landmarks and features on the way to the Grand Canyon. I loved every minute!
Yes! I am the copilot! That's Mike behind me. World's best pilot.

I hope you enjoyed the snapshot vacation! I will be back with your "regular programing" in my next post. Cheers!

Wow, you did a lot--the pool sounds nice. You ought to consider offering the Bellagio shot in your shop.
ReplyDeleteLove those night shots! Wow, awesome captures, Julie!
ReplyDeletesounds like you had a good time! looks like it too, I could have gone to vegas last year with some friends but due to some unfortunate events occurring I couldn't go! Hopefully, in the near future. Nice pics!

ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time in Vegas! You're right, Vegas is not like any other city! My mom lives there so we like to go visit her and head down to the Strip for fun and people watching!

ReplyDeleteYou sure DID pack a lot in! Great pics, Julie! Feel like I went along with you! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Las Vegas, ah yes. Been there several times. Grow weary of the "ching, ching, ching" sounds that follow you everywhere, even in the bathroom. It's an interesting place, that's for sure! The Grand Canyon, though, beats it in spades! Thanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a terrific time in Vegas Julie ~ good for you! And a very Happy Anniversary! Burgers in your hotel room ~ how sweet! I totally get that. Me and hubby stayed home, watched a movie, and shared a home made pizza for our anniversary a few weeks ago. I bet the shows you saw were terrific ~ lots of great memories.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend!
