Springtime has reached the northern Colorado Rocky Mountains. The sweet but vibrant hot pink blossoms of the cushion cactus are blooming! As I look across a dry brown meadow that is only just getting the first hint of green the bright little blossoms look like neon signs against the drab landscape. What a welcome sight!
