Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

An orange autumn leaf is covered in frost giving it a sugary texture.Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends! I wish each of you a warm day surrounded by friends and family. May you enjoy your favorite traditional meal and eat your fill. May you smile and laugh with glee. May you get warm embraces and know you are loved. Know that I treasure your visits and send happiness your way. Hugs, Julie

A young hen turkey investigates the large male turkey.

This young hen turkey decides she likes the large male turkey that struts for her and tentatively approaches him for a closer look. This little dance was happening in our driveway last spring.

  1. Thanksgiving might be the worst day on earth if you're a turkey. Won't someone think of the poultry? :)

  8. Thank you all so much for the warm Thanksgiving wishes!

Ryan-That photo was taken last spring when the turkeys flock together to choose their mates. After mating they all go their separate ways, but during that time I see them in huge "herds!" LOL
