A Healthy Start with a Bowl of Berries

A bowl of fresh red raspberries and blueberries splashed with milk makes a healthy breakfast still life.Last year I lost 17 pounds. I gained a couple back over the holidays but I am getting back to better habits again. The Christmas cookies are gone! I have no doubt I will lose the last few pounds and be back to the weight I was in my twenties. No kidding! You may ask how I am doing this. The easiest answer is quality homemade food; no sugar, no white flour, no food in a box. It is satisfying, nourishing and weight reducing. And I could not feel more energetic. If you would like to know more details on how you can lose those excess holiday pounds I highly recommend the "South Beach Diet." It is a healthy plan and has worked for me. Now I'm going to make this luscious bowl of berries disappear!

  2. You should have a job as a food photographer. The milk and berry people would pay you for that pic to promote their industries. :)

My husband tries to avoid the white food too, and it has worked for him. Me...not so disciplined, but exercise is a must to control my weight.

Good for you in maintaining your eating habits and weight! My Christmas cookies and goodies are not yet gone; I will be glad when they are! :)

  3. Congrats on the weight loss, until my kids came along I was a total junk eater. I couldn't be a food photographer I'd eat it all!

  4. That's really fresh and fun, Julie, I think that type of photo would do well on Etsy. Props to you for losing 17 pounds, and for doing it with healthy, real food. My first year with a weight loss goal and I'm off to a decent start. I'm eating 3 meals of real food and walking a mile every day...so far, so good. :)

  5. Glad I could share the South Beach diet. I'm not getting any kick backs either! LOL It just seems really intelligent and healthy as opposed to so many other "fad diets." Wishing you all good health!
