I have many memories of grandma in a colorful gingham apron standing over her kitchen sink on a humid Ohio's hot summer day. She would be washing berries or some other fresh fruit or vegetable from her garden for dinner. She lovingly prepared the finest table you can imagine in her small kitchen where we would all barely fit around the table. Everything was homemade, fresh, and delicious. This photo reminds me of those halcyon days.

Beautiful! The photo makes me think of summer. At my grandma's house it was often tart, funky little apples from the tree in her yard that still could be turned into delicious pie, or the cookies she would make for us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious and evocative image, Julie! It looks so fresh and beautiful framed an matted in white.
ReplyDeleteLuscious blues and white, beautiful image! Makes the winter seem less dreary knowing summer is on the way!
ReplyDeleteAdore the blues on blue, Robin. And, now I'm hungry. Great photo, as always! XO
