The gentle rays of the sun at sea level were cool by California standards, but felt warm to this Colorado girl. The sea breeze was intoxicating. The sights and smells foreign as I stood enthralled by the beauty of the aquamarine water. The birds wheeled overhead as the sea lions lazily rolled over and scratched, all as the fresh water of the Russian River meet her primordial beginnings in the salty sea.
Emerson sums it up perfectly...
Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air…
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson
The confluence of the Russian River and Pacific Ocean is teeming with wild sea lions and birds.

I love the sea, and spending time at the shore. It's one of my favorite places to be. I can just feel the sea breeze and smell the sweet salt air from your images!
