Rabbits, Bunnies, and Hares Oh My!

This is the Year of the Rabbit. I happened to be born in the Year of the Rabbit way back in the last century. It is interesting to note that I get along well with sheep, pigs, and dogs. And because dogs are my kind of people maybe I should hook up with some pig and sheep buddies too.

Then we have the Easter Bunny, March Hare, and the White Rabbit. The latter two being created by Lewis Carroll in a drug induced state no doubt. No one knows for sure about the Easter Bunny, but he seems to have hopped into the scene in 17th century Germany, a counterpart to the Santa Claus of Christmas.

Colorado Wildflower Blank Note Cards

Wildflower season in the Colorado Rocky Mountains is still far off but these three note cards can bring the season to you early. I have three different photos; a lovely lavender penstemon, a bold blue wild geranium, and Colorado's famous columbine. The set includes two of each flower. It is January in Colorado and that means cold and snow. We had a storm front plunge the mercury to below zero as the snow fell. Birthday Challenge

Today is my birthday and I felt that it was time to come clean. I am skating on thin ice, getting long in the tooth, going around the bend! But I don't feel old. In fact, I feel exactly like the same person I have always been, albeit a bit wiser. I still like to run through the woods, roll on the floor with the dogs, and eat an occasional hot dog. I still push the limits, enjoy an adventure, or play the fool. Sky diving is on my bucket list along with many other firsts. So much left to do! So what's the big deal? Why do we resent aging so much? In fact, I love my age. I'm smart enough to have learned from my mistakes and lucky enough to have survived them.
