On Vacation in the Pacific Northwest

I am packing my bag and getting out of town. Well, so to speak since I do not live in town. But none the less, I'm heading out, hitting the road, taking off. My destination is the Pacific Northwest and I could not be more excited!

Please note that the following gorgeous photography is not mine.
I have linked the photos to the photographers' sites. Please give them a click too!

My sweetheart and I will be staying for three nights in Seattle to get our city fix. There is a ton to see and do and I'm planning on shopping, dining, and touring to the max.

A whale watching tour is on our list too. I just hope I do not get so excited that I forget to snap some photos! This is something that has been on my bucket list for a long time!

Next we are heading to Port Angeles. For those of you who are Twilight fans this is the heart of it all. I am looking forward to exploring the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park. There are all those wonderful wineries to explore too.

So don't expect me back for awhile. I'm taking my camera(s), of course, and will return with many pics and experiences to share.

Cheers!

  1. wow, I'm jealous!! Your going to have so much fun! I've been on many whale watching tours... one tip when shooting whales, remember to shoot in burst mode, and your going to take a lot of photos!! But may only end up with a few good ones. Those whales are fast and you don't have warning when they appear!

as far as whale watching, my only tip is to make sure you have cheetos & coke nearby!! the time we went, i got so seasick, that was the only thing keeping me from not hurling!! :p

  17. Julie, have a great time on a much deserved vacation. What beautiful country you chose, especially this time of year. BTW---congrats on being chosen as a 'blog of note' by Blogger.com! You are a blessing to so many...

  18. I found you due to your "Blog of Note" listing on Blogger. So far I've just read this front page and your profile but will go deeper, including checking your Flickr site.

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest although as today is halfway through September you may have already come and gone. I live about 60 miles north of Seattle (Pugetopolis) by choice since retiring at the end of 2003 but love all of the NW. I'll look forward to seeing your photos after you return.

I've bookmarked your site and will return.
