There are many ways to look at something. Our perspectives are as unique as we are. This is true with philosophy and politics, as well as a tangible object like the Seattle Space Needle. I had so much fun exploring all the different approaches to this subject, opening my mind to let creativity spark and new ideas form. Tell me your perspective.

Stunning Julie!! I love the black and white shots of the needle - but the 3rd shot in tones of pink and purple is magnetic and mysterious for me. You never disappoint.
ReplyDeletePrefer the 4th and the 5th..=)
ReplyDeleteYou take the most incredible photos! I really like them all but love the 3rd one. It's like a modern flower reflecting in a glass pool!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are also the 4th and 5th, in that order! Really beautiful shots---as always, Julie! :-)

Wonderful photos Julie... as always! I really love the 2nd one! And the 3rd-- very interesting and well done! :)
ReplyDeleteThe new version of Windows, Windows 7, actually includes a shot similar to your 3rd one of the space needle reflecting off that red-purplish building (no idea what it is!) and is one of my favorite backgrounds to use on my computer. So obviously, I liked number 3 the most :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough the last one is nice too....I like how the image looks aged/historical.
I like how you see things.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great comments! Originally I threw #4 away. I thought of this new approach last night and pulled it out of the trash. The purple building was a great subject and I'll have more shots of it and other reflections coming soon.
ReplyDeleteJulie, see this link for what I was talking about:

I like the hint of it in #3
ReplyDeleteWhile the 2nd through 5th photos show your "eye" for creativity, the first gets my attention. The Space Needle is such a stark, powerful presence over all the other "little guys."
ReplyDeleteAnd there is a lot going on in the picture to see. There's water, trees in the background, contruction, etc. I'm wondering if some of the buildings are apartment buildings and who lives there. And it has lots of my favorite blue sky!
Harold, thanks for the link! Interesting shot too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy and Anita!
I like 2 and 4. Something to do with the shapes. I can't always say why I like my own shots. Explaining why I like things by other people is even harder.
ReplyDeleteThe more The rise, The more The feet should be within earth.
ReplyDeleteGreat click.
I remember seeing the space needle in the early 80's.
ReplyDeleteI think the space needle is to Seattle what the Eiffel tower is to Paris.
I like photo #5 and comparing it to your first photo. When I look at the first photo, the needle appears to be the tallest structure. But the angle of photo#5 would make the space needle appear to be a very small structure.
Amazing how different angles will give one a different perspective of an object.
These are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! They are just wonderful! I would really have a hard time picking my favorite between 2-5.
ReplyDeleteI connected to you through another blog.
ReplyDeleteI just keep getting images of the kingdome being blown up.
These are fabulous! I would have to say I really like the starkness of the second one with the angles. The third is just so warming with the pinks and purples...hard to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteStunning prospective of the Needle. Quite an eye ya got there girl!
ReplyDeleteHave the best day enjoying the beauty surrounding you!!!
Love them all! Love seeing the first picture, being from the NYC area its nice to see a different skyline! The second I like because It makes me think what the people are experiencing as they move up the space needle in the exposed elevator!

The second one is outstanding, Julie, but I can see your opening up and checking this out in new ways was fruitful all around. :)
ReplyDelete#3 - I love how this photo has transformed something which in my eyes is quite frankly an eyesore into something beautifully abstract. Bravissimo once more.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading the various perspectives of each of you. It is fun to explore new ways of thinking and seeing. I don't believe there is a favorite only different views. Thanks for sharing your unique visions with me!
ReplyDeleteHaving been born at the Swedish Hospital in Seattle the year this major landmark of the Pacific Northwest was opened, I have a special affinity for your pictures. Although I have not lived in Seattle for over 26 years, your photos evoke emotions that take me back to my childhood days of awe and amazement. This is for me a symbol of everything Seattle. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJulie love your photos and adventures. After reading your post on Pikes Market I headed up to Columbus,Ohio and checked out the North Market. Have a great day.
