A blizzard is raging outside of my cozy studio while I work on photography from our vacation last month. The contrast is startling when I look from my computer screen image of a sunny seashore to the icicles and snow outside of my window.
It was a rare sunny day in Olympic National Park when we walked along Second Beach. The early fall air felt surprisingly warm as the couple walked hand in hand far off into the distance and soaked in the delicious scent of the sea. The crashing surf and the call of sea birds filled the air with a cacophony of thundering noise. But inside I was still. The sea soothing my soul like a fragrant balm as we too walked hand in hand into the distance.
I'll be sharing more photos of this day very soon. Tell me your favorite.

Beach Walk
The wild Second Beach at Olympic National Park is a wonderful place for a walk. Do you see the couple far in the distance just about to round the point of trees?

I love the beach photo framed!! But something about the bird and the way the light hits the water really speaks to me, Julie! Makes me yearn for the Northwest, though.

I like them all but especially th photo with the bird.
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful, but I love the 3rd one best - I can just hear the surf crashing and smell the salt air.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all, but most of all the beach with the couple far away
ReplyDeleteBeach Walk for sure! Love how that tree line goes right to the water. A stark contrast from our beaches here in Florida
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous photos! I just love the second photo - it really looks like WA to me with those huge pieces of driftwood. Stay warm in Colorado!
ReplyDeleteAll lovely, truly. The wave is fantastic from an art/action perspective but I always like a good beach vista shot, so #2 is my fave pick. :)
ReplyDeleteThese images are the perfect antidote to blizzard weather... brrr. My favorite? The one you've framed. I love the far off mist.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat photoes. Love the second one.. =)
ReplyDeleteMilky waves.
ReplyDeleteExcellent clicks.
Thanks for sharing.
Julie, I love them all. The blues are gorgeous. But the beach walk is my fav:) Wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback! Beach Walk is my favorite of the bunch too. You probably figured that out since I framed it. LOL I'll be posting more shots of this beach on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Julie
Julie, these are all wonderful shots. I love the third one. It's so dynamic! I can almost feel the spray and the wind.

photo energy - art that captures you
The last one is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the first large photo. The sun on the water and waves make it so sparkly and jewel-like. And to have the lone bird in the corner...nice.
ReplyDeleteTough to choose Julie, they are all so breathtaking. If I had to choose it would be the third one. You can just feel the power of the wave so strong your can almost smell the sea. Super job!
ReplyDeleteYa'll have a terrific day surrounded by Gods beauty!!!
I cant choose, I like them all.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos! So much so that I've awarded you a "One Lovely Blog" award. Swing by my blog to pick it up :)
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but the beach walk is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so quieting about a seashore. Even though it is full of a crashing surf (LOVE that picture) or the cacophony of the gulls, it just sets one to thinking and enjoying the beauty around. You've captured them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThey were talking about the snow on the news today!
ReplyDeleteHope you don't get too much, so early!
Your photographs are lovely!
I like the one with the wave hitting the rock the best. The first small one second. These are great for business office photos. I think these are marketable photos in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteYou're making me yearn for the summer, and fall/winter has only just begun... beautiful images though!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful place to visit! I've really enjoyed your photos!
