Sunday Morning Gallery - Black and White Photography Part 2

I have been working on black and white photography again this week. To work without color requires a different attention. Instead of clarifying color to the truest eye popping hue the focus shifts to light and shadow. It is a distillation of the very essence of photography for me and I hope it will help me to become better with my color photography. Let me know what you think, and please, valuable criticisms are welcome!

  1. Julie, The image of the lighted path seems perfect in B&W, as does the one with the snow. The last one, to me, doesn't seem to have enough contrast - but that's just me. Keep up the great photography!
    Peace, Judi

Hi Julie! I was going to say what Judy said. I really like the first two, the second one looks like roasted marshmallows. .....maybe I'm just hungry, lol! I really like that one a lot, and not just because I want to eat it!

  6. Hi Julie. Glad I found your blog. I love black and white photography too. I agree the first one has the most drama, shadows and light drawing you in.
