Farmers Market

Red TomatoGoing to the Farmers Market is one of my favorite summer time activities. I love looking at the rows of fruit and vegetables just waiting for a taste. Anyone that has ever eaten a peach off of a tree or sweet corn picked within hours knows what I am talking about. Today's corporate farms have nothing over these small farmers when it comes to taste and nutrition. Tomatoes happen to be one of my favorites and I love them paired with sweet corn. What is your favorite?

There's nothing like a fresh red tomato from the Farmers Market. This photo would be a great addition to a kitchen setting.

  6. Naquillity, a cruise ship had just docked, hence the large crowds at the Pike Place Market. The rain was making everyone crowd in. It was chaotic fun!

Catherine, I've never had refrigerator pickles. Are they sweet?

Pfeiffer, I love all of those veggies too!

  8. Oh! I've missed your amazing work. What a delcious tomato, I can taste it.
I love Farmers markets. I recently visited one nearby and I noticed a stall selling fresh herbs.I decided to buy a bouquet of thyme,so I walked over and asked the man on the stall for some thyme. He looked at his watch and said " Quarter past five". I thought he was making a silly a joke, however it turned out he was from France and had misunderstood my question!
