Pink Blossom

Thank you everyone for all the birthday greetings and well wishes for my time off! It was wonderfully relaxing to visit with dear friends and share many old memories too.

I am going to get back in the saddle today and share a new flower fine art photo print with you. Tell me what you think. Is it too monochromatic? Too off center? All comments and suggestions are welcome! It's great to be back!

  2. Beautiful! I actually like the fact that the flower is off to the side. It makes me want to look deeper into the picture!

    Very Nice!

  4. A Happy belated Birthday wish. This is a beautiful image. Very good composition with the flower over on the side. You have decorative background elements to fill in the space and provide a soft and complimenting set up for the flower. Its lovely, and i can see this also used as a very nice stationary image.
    great

  6. Welcome back. The composition is wonderful, a little asymmetry is a good thing. With the flower opening in that direction it just pulls you in. It's definately not "too pink". You caught a fantastic amount of detail on the flower itself.
    Great work! Peace, Judi

  7. Thank you very much! It is so hard to be subjective with ones own work and I really appreciate your comments. Gary, great idea regarding the stationary!

  9. You've got a new banner- I like! ...especially the colored letters.

I think this photo is pretty. It is very pale/monochromatic though, but nothing necessarily wrong with that! Not sure how you post-processed it, but the background area almost has a delicate, pastel watercolor effect, which is nice.

  11. very delicate and soft. I love looking (and photographing ) the center of flowers. Off-center is definitely best for adding interest.
